    What is PES?

Johnson Test Paers’ PES membrane filters are hydrophilic filters constructed from pure polyethersulfone polymer that is a tough, durable, and temperature-resistant aromatic polymer. They are available in pore sizes ranging from 0.1 micron from to 5.0 micron. The highly asymmetrical pore structure of our PES flat membrane offers an excellent loading capacity and high flow rate. PES membrane filters are designed to remove particulates during general filtration such as aqueous and slightly organic liquids (pH 2 - 12). Their low protein and drug binding characteristics minimizes nonspecific protein adsorption and also make PES membrane disc filters ideally suited for use in life science applications..

Johnson Test Papers’ PES membrane provides high flow rate, low extractables and greater mechanical strength than cellulose based membranes, with good stability against acids and bases. Their stability in alkaline pH makes them suitable for biological samples, aqueous applications, analytical, electronic, pharmaceutical, beverage, and sterilizing filtration applications. Their smooth surface makes it easy enumeration of microorganisms

For additional information on OEM specific applications, Johnson Test Papers has the product breadth and flexibility to meet your needs, as well as the quality standards to help ensure your success.
